MOBILE SHELVING

There are Two Basic Types of Mobile Shelving available:  Disappearing Aisle and Lateral Slider.  There are two basic qualities of each.  For lighter usage and inexpensive cost we have the EZ Compacting Series.  For heavier Carriages and heavier Usage we recommend Jeter TRAX and Jeter Roller Series.

Cost effective way to get more filing in less space.  Easy to install.  Sturdy and Long Lasting.  Can be installed on carpet.   Easily leveled without removing shelving and files.    Anti-tip devices are standard on all Jeter mobile systems.  Fully ADA compliant.  Mechanical Assist is optional.  Adapts to most types of shelving.  In most cases you can use your existing cabinets.  Easily expandable and movable.  Optimize storage in a small file area. 

With the EZ Compacting Mobile System there is a maximum or four mobile carriages per module and a maximum length 4 feet manual and a length of 9 feet per carriage with mechanical assist.  The best configuration is with a fixed unit on each end.  Fixed units should be attached to the floor, the track does not extend beneath the fixed units.   Therefore the mobile units are taller than the fixed units.  We can provide bases that lift the fixed units to the same height.  This is recommended in area where clients or patients see the unit.  In backrooms, this is not necessary.

The above picture shows Two Carriages only 1 section deep with one aisle.  The stationary units on each end are not shown.  However, the two stationary units will need bases to make them the same height as the mobile units.

The estimate for the above unit includes 2 stationary bases (not shown) $245/each. 7-1/2 feet of track $50/foot, 2 manual mobile carriages $400/each, and 2 manual handles $100/each.  This estimate is for a manual carriage.

EZ LATERAL SLIDER SYSTEM

Use your existing shelving or purchase new from us.   Anti tip system built into the track.  Rail stops and end caps on Tracks.  Easily to level without removing the cabinets or files.  Each carriage carries up to 700 pounds per linear foot.  EZ track and carriage adds 4" in height to the front row.  You do not need to lift or move the back row.  The EZ Lateral Slider track attaches, with concrete screws, to the floor in front of the back row.  You must have at least 1 fewer cabinets in the front row than in the back.   Easy to install and move.    Can be installed over carpet.

With Jeter's Roller Mobile Shelving, rows of shelves become movable.  You eliminate the wasteful aisle space.  You can easily double the capacity of any file area.  Shorter carriages can be moved by hand.  Longer carriages can either be mechanical assist or electric assist.  Jeter's patented chain tensioning system compensates for chain stretch ensuring the mobile unit remains service free.  The unit runs on rails supported by leveling screws and grout.  A plywood deck is optional.   Unit is completely level making for a smooth running carriage.  Bumpers ensure a 3/4" gap between end panels for user safety.  Stationary units on each end are bolted directly to the rails for stability.  Ladder shaped carriages are designed to support heavy weight loads, up to 1,000 pounds per linear foot.  The carriage has a recessed lip to contain the shelving within the carriage.  Jeter also has a 24" deep self-contained ramp which is ADA compliant.  All deck and ramp surfaces are smooth and free of tripping hazards.

EZ COMPACTING.  Rails are placed directly over carpet or on hard floor.  Manual  or Mechanical Assist only.  Maximum size:  9' long carriages, 5 mobile carriages between two fixed carriages (you may only be able to more 3 carriages at a time),  up to 700 pound per linear foot capacity,  2-1/4" flanged wheels on two or more rails, carriage with wheels adds 4" to height, standard track,  track does not extend under fixed units, track is 3/8" square cold rolled steel positioned in an aluminum track housing, track has leveling screws (either 1/4" or 1/2" leveling available), track is secured to floor with  masonry screws, tracks conform to ADA requirements for barrier-free access,  anti-tip optional unless carriage is less than 24" wide,  can be used with many shelving types .

JETER EZ 9 MOBILE SYSTEM  (picture above)

EZ 9.  Low profile carriage (only 4"), several track options, track and rail are supported with long lasting, non-shrink grout, 700 pounds per linear foot capacity, manual or mechanical-assist (for longer carriages), 3" flanges wheels keep carriages aligned, drive shaft for mechanical-assist option are 3/4" solid steel, dual ramp option eliminated the need for raised deck and is ADA approved for safe and easy access.  Up to 24' long carriages available.  OPTIONS include  Decorative end panels, Anti-tip, several deck options, several track options, Very well suited for letter or legal shelving and other light media.  Suited for small offices where weight does not exceed weight restrictions and retrieval rates are lower.  EZ9X option uses snap-together deck and track, does not require grout and can be easily relocated or added-to (call for quote)

JETER EZ 10 MOBILE SYSTEM  (picture above)

EZ 10.  6" carriage is excellent for up to 1,000 pounds per linear foot.  Excellent for all shelving types and file cabinets.  5" wheels and a 1" solid drive shaft make for a smooth and reliable operation.  On mechanical assist units the drive shaft extends to all wheels (no whipping action).  Maximum length of carriage is extended to 45 feet.  Carriage has a 1" lip to contain shelving and prevent slipping.  Several track options.  End panels available.  Mechanical Assist comes in nice looking painted closed housing so end panels are optional.

EZ 11.  6" carriages carry up to 1,000 pounds per lnear foot.  Excellent for all shelving types and for filing cabinets.  Same as EZ 10 above except powered by electrical motors in each carriage.  One touch opens the aisle automatically.  Excellent for environments where large amounts of material are stored and user access is frequent.  Jeter's electrical system can maneuver carriages up to 80 feet long and storing 80,000 pounds of material.  Safety features include safety sweeps to stop carriage movement when an object is encountered.  The sweep is located at foot level and extends the full length of the carriage on both sides.

Finally, a quality track system making flipper door and lateral filing cabinets mobile.  Track comes in 3 foot sections.  You can easily add an additional section without moving or emptying any cabinets already in place.  The track is embedded in a plywood deck which extends under the back row.  An anti tip is part of the track and carriage system.  Special engineering is available for units with retractable drawers as this changes the weight distribution.

JETER TRAX - EASY ANSWER TO MORE FILING SPACE

Jeter's Trax Lateral Mobile System is designed to provide extra filing in the smallest space.  Only the front cabinets are movable.   You just slide the cabinets side to side allowing access to the cabinets behind.  The floor deck is perfectly level so the front cabinets will not "drift" out of position.  The rail is joined together with a 3/8" steel alignment pin.  Each deck section is joined with a steel splice plate.  The rail remains uniform and smoothly connected.  Carriages have channels that interconnnect with the track to prevent derailment.  Strong aluminum carriages absorb the shock when pushed.  Rubber bumpers absorb shock and provide a 3/4" gap between cabinets to prevent fingers being smashed.  Jeter has the ultimate in anti-tip systems.  The patented device slides easily and provides constant connection as the unit slides.  The Trax system can be added without moving or emptying the back row.
