Rapid Rack is an industrial strength low cost storage shelving for nearly every storage need. Shelves are adjustable on 1-1/2" centers. Posts and beams come in many sizes and weight capaciies. From small items in a small wood shop to heavy machine parts in a farm repair shop. The secret of Rapid Rack is the strength of the units without taking up needed storage space with huge beams. The metal shelf supports are formed in such a way as to be low profile.

One of the most popular uses of Rapid Rack is back room storage of Archived Records, parts, products, and open end tab folders.

Space Saver Medical Record Sotrage

Rapid Rack Space Saver shelving is very good quality, low cost back room shelving. This is the shelving used by all of the major retail stores. The largest users are the women's shoe departments. The shelves are adjustable on 1-1/2" centers, The shelf supports are U-shaped and support the particle board shelves without taking away shelf clearance. As few as four shelves (for large items), in 84" height, and up to 9 shelves (for smaller items). 7 shelves gives 6 openings and a top shelf. The 7 shelf unit is excellent for filing inactive medical record folders. We simply add particle board end supports and a back stop.

Available sizes: 12", 15", 18", 24", 30", 36", 42", 48", 60", 69", & 72". The size I find the most practical is 15" X 42", with four shelves. This size is excellent for box storage, Six boxes per shelf (three accross stacked two high). With three boxes on the top shelf you can store 27 cartons. If you make the unit 30" deep you can store 27 more boxes on the back side. Order your storage cartons from PAPERMART, 800-745-8800 and pay as little as $1.90 per carton.

ARCHIVAL STORAGE SHELVING

Although Space Saver can be used for box storage, The more efficient and wider Archive Storage Shelving is recommended. Much stronger metal supports give strength to the shelves. Enough strength to accomodate 20 storage boxes on an 30" X 69" shelf. (see picture to the left).
